Company History

Production Pattern began life in the early 60’s as a traditional pattern making company serving almost exclusively the MOD and the aircraft industry. The business then evolved into other areas during the 70’s and 80’s, the predominant being the automotive and allied industries.

During that time, engineering was undergoing radical changes and new management was employed to develop the company’s full potential, moving away from its more traditional roots and into tool making and jigs and fixtures manufacture. This coincided with the company opening a factory in Bristol and ultimately moving its’ whole operation to that area.

In 1993, two senior management employees, Tim Hockey and David Megilley, led a successful management buy-out with the sole aim of progressing the company to the next level, securing the necessary investment required to become one of the region’s most respected tool making companies.

Present Day

Employing over 24 skilled personnel and with the enviable reputation in being able to achieve customer’s requirements in a variety of materials, PPB is proud to continue as one of the finest engineering companies in it’s field.
